VBSY Programme at Different Districts Of the State Attract Beneficiaries from Economically Backward Section
Union Minister of State for Education Visits Chhatna Block, Bankura to be a Part of Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Programme

As a part of the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) programme of the union Government, The Union Minister of State for Education, Dr Subhas Sarkar visited the Teghari Gram Panchayat of Chhatna Block of Bankura today and urged people to avail maximum benefits from the several schemes drawn up by the Union Government for their economic uplift as well as to have transformation in their day-to-day lives.
The programme was graced by the MLA and Panchayat Pradhan of the locality.
The focus of the Yatra is to reach out to people and create awareness and provide benefits of welfare schemes like sanitation facilities, essential financial services, electricity connections, access to LPG cylinders, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable healthcare, clean drinking water, etc. Enrolment of potential beneficiaries will be done through details ascertained during the Yatra. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the VBSY on Wednesday (November 15, 2023) , a nationwide programme aimed at reaching out to citizens who are eligible for various central schemes but have not benefited so far.
At Narayangarh Bazar of Narayangarh Block, Paschim Medinipur, huge gathering was witnessed at the camps of Punjab National Bank (PNB) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) for availing financial as well as LPG benefits under Pradhanmantri Ujjawala Yojana from the respective companies.
Similar crowd had been witnessed in another VBSY programme at Satali Gram Panchayat under Kalchini block of Alipurduar district of North Bengal, where camp was organised for maximising the number of beneficiaries of the Pradhanmantri Ujjawala Yojana.
It is to be mentioned that VBSY will cover 2.7 lakh gram panchayats and around 15,000 urban locations throughout the country where ground-level activities will take place using these automated IEC vans.
