Two-day Vendor Development Programme Jointly organised by CMPDI and MSME-Development Office, Ranchi concludes successfully

Central Mine Planning and Design Institute, a Mini-Ratna subsidiary of Coal India Limited and MSME-Development Office, Ranchi; Ministry of MSME, Government of India jointly organised a two-day Vendor Development Programme-cum-Product Exhibition - 2026 at Ranchi on 9th and 10th September, 2026.

The programme was jointly inaugurated on 9th September, 2026 by Chairman of the programme, Shri Chaudhari Shivraj Singh, CMD, CMPDI, along with the Chief Guest, Shri Nilendu Kumar Singh, CMD, CCL, and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Chaudhari Shivraj Singh, CMD, CMPDI emphasized that the Vendor Development Programme is not merely a buyer-seller meet, but a platform to foster long-term partnerships between corporates and MSMEs. Shri Singh stressed on the significant role of MSMEs in promoting indigenisation, innovation and specialised solutions, and aligning their expertise with the requirements of corporates/PSUs can create new avenues of growth towards Viksit Bharat.

Highlighting CMPDI’s diverse range of services, from exploration and geomatics to environmental services and mine closure, Shri Singh urged MSMEs to leverage these opportunities and their specialised capabilities to grow from local entities into globally competitive enterprises.

Chief Guest Shri Nilendu Kumar Singh, CMD, CCL, in his address, said that micro and small enterprises can play a vital role in building an Atmanirbhar Bharat and assured them of all possible support. He urged all participants to make the best use of the programme and develop their products and enterprises in accordance with the changing needs of the time.

Shri Indrajit Yadav, Director, MSME-Development Office, Ranchi, briefed the participants about the objectives and outline of the programme. He stated that the programme would provide micro and small entrepreneurs an opportunity to interact directly with the officials of the public sector undertakings participating in the event.

Shri Pankaj Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, CCL & CMPDI, stated that the Vendor Development Programme, being organised under the Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026, would promote transparency and fairness in the government procurement process.

Shri Nripendra Nath, Director (T/CRD), CMPDI, said the programme provides a platform for MSMEs to interact with buyers/Corporates, understand their requirements. He particularly encouraged women entrepreneurs to actively participate and leverage these opportunities for business growth.

During the First Day’s ‘Technical sessions and Buyer-Seller Meet’, senior officials from CMPDI, CCL, BSL/SAIL, Bokaro, Hindustan Copper Limited, South Eastern Railway, GAIL and NTPC Mining Limited, GeM provided detailed information regarding their respective procurement and vendor registration processes on GeM (Government e-Marketplace), briefed the participants in detail about TReDS (Trade Receivables Discounting System).

On the second day of the programme, during the Buyer-Seller Interaction Session and Technical Session, officials from CMPDI, UCIL, SIDBI and MECON Limited, Ranchi provided information on the procurement processes for products/services required by their respective organisations under the Public Procurement Policy. Representatives of NSSH/NSIC, Ranchi, and the MSME Development Office, Ranchi, elaborated on various schemes of the Central and State Governments for General, Women and SC/ST MSME entrepreneurs.

A total of five (05) public sector/government organisations and 15 micro and small enterprise units displayed their products through exhibition stalls at the programme. More than 200 MSME entrepreneurs participated in the technical sessions and directly interacted with officials during the question-and-answer session to seek clarification on their queries.
