Implementation of the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) involved the development of a generic application capable of catering to the diverse rules of procedure, practices and business processes followed across State/UT Legislatures, while addressing variations in the ICT infrastructure, baseline digitalisation, digital capacity and adoption of paperless legislative processes by stakeholders. These aspects were addressed through incorporation of suitable configurations in the application, financial assistance for procuring ICT infrastructure and technical manpower, capacity-building and orientation programmes, handholding support, and continuous coordination with the concerned State/UT Legislatures.
