Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, released a compendium titled “51 Stories of Panchayats Bringing Change for Good Governance” (51 कहानियां बदलाव की, पंचायत सुराज की), today in New Delhi. The occasion was graced by Shri Vivek Bharadwaj, Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj along with other senior officers of the Ministry. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Baghel said that the compilation would serve as a valuable source of learning and inspiration for all stakeholders associated with the Panchayati Raj system. He observed that every grievance resolved represents a meaningful step towards strengthening responsive, participatory and citizen-centric governance.

Shri Vivek Bharadwaj said that, in line with the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Ministry of Panchayati Raj has accorded highest priority to timely redressal of public grievances through CPGRAMS. He added that sustained efforts to address grievances, including those from the remotest parts of the country, have helped strengthen a responsive and citizen-friendly grievance redressal mechanism while reinforcing public trust in institutions. Prepared by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj in collaboration with the Panchayati Raj Departments of various States, the compendium presents Fifty-One inspiring Case Studies of successful redressal of Public Grievances received on the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS). These stories demonstrate how timely and effective resolution of citizens’ concerns improves service delivery, strengthens accountability, enhances basic civic infrastructure and makes a tangible difference to people’s lives at the grassroots.
