DFS disposed off more than 2 lakh public grievances between Nov. 2022 to August 2023 as part of Special Campaign for Swachhata 2.0

The Department of Financial Services (DFS) and its organisations had carried out the Special Campaign on Swachhata 2.0 from 2nd Oct. to 31st Oct. 2022, to minimise the pendency and to institutionalise Swachhata. Having achieved more than 80% of the target by 31st October 2022, the DFS continued to work in the intervening months from November 2022 to August 2023 while actively monitoring the progress on the campaign on a monthly basis.

The highlights & achievements of the Department and its organisations in the intervening months since November 2022 to August 2023 are as follows:

  • Disposal of Public Grievances: 2,09,398
  • Disposal of Public Grievances Appeals: 39,816
  • Sites/Offices Cleaned: 523
  • Space Freed: 71,968 sq. ft.
  • Revenue Earned from Scrap Disposal: Rs. 1,43,87,364/-

The Government of India has announced Special campaign 3.0 from 2nd October, 2023 till 31st October, 2023 with focus on Swachhata and reducing pendency in Government Offices with a saturation approach.

Taking the campaign forward, Dr. Jitendra Singh today launched the dedicated web-portal for Swachhata Special Campaign 3.0, https://scdpm.nic.in, in New Delhi for monitoring of the Swachhata campaign. It will be preceded by the preparatory phase from 15th September to 30th September 2023. During this period, Ministries/Departments will identify the pendency in selected categories and finalize the campaign sites.

The DFS has already sensitised all its officers and has communicated to all of its organisations to continue the activities and to launch Special Campaign 3.0 at their respective organisations.
