Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India is organizing two Days’ National Review Conference with Principal Secretaries/Secretaries of all States/UTs of Social welfare/Social Justice department on 25th and 26th May, 2023 at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), 15 Janpath, New Delhi.

The focus of the National Review Conference is to discuss the issue pertaining to the welfare schemes being implemented by the department for the marginalized section of the society including Scheduled Castes (SCs), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Senior Citizens, Victims of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Transgender Persons, Persons engaged in the act of begging, De-notified and Nomadic Tribes (DNTs), Economically Backward Classes (EBCs), Manual Scavengers and Economically Weaker Section (EWS).

National Review Conference will have deliberation on overview of the schemes, highlighting best practice and innovations from States/UTs to establish better synergy between the States and Centre in terms of implementation, monitoring and evaluation of schemes at ground level.

The “National Review Conference” will be presided by Dr. Virendra Kumar, Union Minister for Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and will be attended by  Shri A. Narayanaswamy, Minister of State for Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment  and Ms. Pratima Bhoumik, Minister of State for Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment Government of India, Principal Secretaries/ Secretaries of the States/UTs and Senior officers of  Department of  Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.
