Revised Traffic and Parking Arrangements at Thrissur Railway Station in Connection with Redevelopment Works

Major Redevelopment works are progressing very fast at Thrissur Railway Station. The existing Main Terminal Building from the Station Manager’s Office up to the Central Portion - Foot Over Bridge (FOB) will be be dismantled as part of Phase-I of the station redevelopment project now. To facilitate the safe execution of the demolition works, a protective shelter is being erected.

Consequently, the road passing through this stretch will be closed from Monday, 26 October 2026 Afternoon and the through movement of vehicles between Entry No. 1 (North Side) and Entry No. 2 (South Side) in both directions, will remain closed with immediate effect to facilitate the execution of the works safely.

The following alternative traffic and parking arrangements will be in force:

Vehicles arriving from Kokkala side shall take a U-turn after dropping passengers and proceed via the one-way road in front of the RMS Office towards Addyan Moola to exit.

Vehicles arriving from Divanji Moola side shall drop passengers and turn around from the Flag Post area and return via the same route.

No parking facility, including premium parking, will be available in the circulating area. Passengers and visitors are requested to use the parking facility available behind the Booking Office.

Taxi and auto-rickshaw services will continue to be available on both sides of the station.

Passengers, visitors and the general public are requested to take note of the revised traffic and parking arrangements, follow the signboards and instructions of traffic personnel, and plan their movements accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
