CBFC holds Its 150th Board Meeting with the Newly Constituted Board

Mumbai, 23 October 2026

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) held its 150th Board Meeting today at the Research Park, IIT Bombay, marking the first meeting of the newly appointed Board. 

The meeting was presided over by Shri Shashi Shekhar Vempati, Chairperson, CBFC and was attended in person by Shri Waman Kendre, Shri Ramesh Patange, Smt. Nishigandha Wad, Smt. Roopali Ganguly, Ms. Supriya Yarlagadda, Shri Priyadarshan, Shri Yatindra Mishra, Shri Vinod Anupam, Shri Nila Madhab Panda and Shri Pankaj Tripathi.

Shri Prosenjit Chatterjee, Shri Manoj Joshi and Shri Abhishek Jain also  participated in the Board Meeting however, through Video Conferencing.

The occasion was further enriched by the presence of Shri Prasoon Joshi, former Chairman, CBFC, who joined the meeting through Video Conferencing and shared his valuable experiences, insights and words of wisdom with the newly appointed Board Members.
