The journey of Mr. Amit Patil and Mrs. Sneha Deshmukh (names changed) reflects the positive impact of the progressive initiative with regard to encouraging inter caste marriage in order to establish a tradition of inter community harmony and peaceful co-existence besides strengthening equality, mutual respect and social harmony.
The Inter-Caste Marriage Incentive Scheme implemented by the Government of Maharashtra encourages inter-caste marriages and promotes a society free from caste-based discrimination.
