The Office of the Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA), Maharashtra and Goa, organised a fortnight-long cleanliness campaign from September 17 to October 2, 2026, under the national initiative Swachhata Hi Seva 2026. The campaign was conducted in line with this year's theme, “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat”, with a focus on promoting cleanliness, environmental sustainability and public participation.

As part of the campaign, officers and staff members took the Swachhata Pledge, committing themselves to contributing voluntary hours towards cleanliness and sanitation. A tree plantation drive was also organised to promote environmental conservation and enhance green cover.

To raise public awareness about waste management and civic responsibility, employees took out an awareness march through local areas carrying banners and placards. A mass Shramdaan drive was also conducted at the BSNL Administrative Building Compound on Juhu Tara Road, Mumbai, during which litter was cleared and weeds were removed from the premises.

The campaign was organised under the guidance of Dr. Satish Chandra Jha, Controller of Communication Accounts, Maharashtra and Goa, and coordinated by Shri Khandagale Dhammapal Anil, Joint CCA, and Shri Vishnu Bhanudas Borade, Assistant CCA.

Addressing the participants, Dr. Jha emphasised that cleanliness should be adopted as a continuous habit rather than a seasonal activity. He encouraged officers and staff to sustain their efforts and actively contribute towards building a cleaner and healthier India.
