The Department of Water Resources, RD & GR, Ministry of Jal Shakti, has initiated preparations for Special Campaign 6, which will be implemented across the Department & its organisations from 2nd October to 31st October 2026, in line with the Guidelines of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). The Campaign will focus on institutionalizing cleanliness practices, improving space management and ensuring timely disposal of pending VIP/PMO etc. references in Government offices.

On 28.09.2026, Smt Archana Varma, Secretary, DoWR, RD & GR chaired a meeting with the Heads of Wings/Organisations of the Department regarding the preparatory phase of Special Campaign- 6. During the meeting, the preparedness of the Department and its organisations with regard to various activities/parameters under the campaign was reviewed. Secretary, DoWR instructed the officials to finalise the targets and to make all efforts to meet the targets by the end of Special Campaign- 6.

 

This year Campaign will accord special emphasis to scientific management of ewaste, with focus on effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste in accordance with the applicable rules and procedures. This will contribute towards environmentally responsible office management and sustainable workplace practices.

With Special Campaign 6, DoWR, RD &GR reaffirms its commitment in making cleanliness an integral part of daily office practices and ensuring the timely resolution of public matters in the spirit of transparency, efficiency and citizen-centric governance.

Further, Building on the achievements of the previous Special Campaign, DoWR, RD & GR has continued its efforts towards reducing pendency and ensuring timely disposal of various categories of references and public matters. The progress has been regularly monitored and updated on the SCDPM Portal of DARPG.
