Union MoS for Home Affairs Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar Inaugurates 20th Rozgar Mela in Hyderabad; 221 Candidates Receive Appointment Letters

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar, today inaugurated the 20th Rozgar Mela held at Dr. MCR HRD Institute, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The event was organised by the Central Tax and Customs, Hyderabad Zone.A total of 221 candidates received appointment letters at the Rozgar Mela.

 

Addressing the program, Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that the 20th Rozgar Mela is being organised at 45 locations across the country, where around 51,000 appointment letters are being distributed. He said that the initiative reflects Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s commitment to providing 10 lakh jobs in the Central Government.

On the occasion, Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar highlighted that more than 12.75 lakh appointment letters have been issued through the first 19 Rozgar Melas held across the country.

 

Adding further, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs stated that the Government is working towards the goal of building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Underlining the Government's commitment towards the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047, he also said that Government has taken up several initiatives such as Startup India, Make in India, welfare schemes and many other programs creating new opportunities, supporting employment for the youth.

Congratulating the newly appointed candidates, Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that getting a Central Government job is an important milestone for the candidates and their families. He encouraged them to work with dedication and contribute to nation-building.

 

Earlier, Shri Arun Kumar, IRS, Chief Commissioner, Central Tax & Customs, Hyderabad Zone, welcomed the gathering. He said that the induction of young employees would bring new ideas and energy to government services.

He said that the 221 newly appointed recruits will undergo training at the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN), Hyderabad. The training will cover GST, Customs, related laws, office procedures and practical work. Inspectors will also receive specialised firearms training in coordination with the Telangana Police Academy.

 

Shri Arun Kumar urged the new recruits to follow the principle of “Citizen First, Taxpayer First, Nation First” and perform their duties with sincerity and dedication. He said that their work at the field level would contribute to the effective implementation of government policies and the goal of a developed India by 2047.

 

Shri N.J. Kumaresh, IRS, Principal Commissioner, Hyderabad GST Commissionerate, senior departmental officers and family members of the newly appointed candidates were also present at the event.
