Special Campaign 6.0 to Focus on Cleanliness and Timely Disposal of Pending Matters
Campaign to be implemented from 2nd to 31st October, 2026 across Secretariat and field offices in line with DARPG guidelines

The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti, has initiated preparations for Special Campaign 6.0, which will be implemented across the Department from 2nd October to 31st October 2026, in line with the guidelines of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). The Campaign will focus on institutionalizing cleanliness practices, improving space management and ensuring timely disposal of pending matters in Government offices.
Building on the achievements of the previous Special Campaign, DDWS has continued its efforts towards reducing pendency and ensuring timely disposal of various categories of references and public matters. The progress has been regularly monitored and updated on the SCDPM Portal of DARPG.
During the period from 1st November 2025 to 31st August 2026, notable achievements include:
- 67 References from Members of Parliament were disposed of.
- 21 Parliamentary Assurances were resolved.
- 03 IMC References (Cabinet Proposals) were disposed of.
- 13 State Government References were resolved.
- 11 PMO References were disposed of.
- 10378 Public Grievances were disposed of.
- 2346 Public Grievance Appeals were resolved.
This year Campaign will accord special emphasis to scientific management of e-waste, with focus on effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste in accordance with the applicable rules and procedures. This will contribute towards environmentally responsible office management and sustainable workplace practices.
With Special Campaign 6.0, the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation reaffirms its commitment in making cleanliness an integral part of daily office practices and ensuring the timely resolution of public matters in the spirit of transparency, efficiency and citizen-centric governance.
