Nagpur, 8 September 2026

The Income Tax Department, Nagpur, will organise the 20th tranche of the National Rozgar Mela on September 19, 2026, at the National Fire Service College, Nagpur, from 12:30 PM. The programme will bring together newly appointed candidates, senior officials and representatives of participating departments, marking an important occasion for candidates beginning their professional journey in public service.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will address the gathering through video conferencing. A Central Minister of the rank of Minister will also attend the programme in person. A large number of newly appointed candidates will participate in the Rozgar Mela, which will provide an opportunity to celebrate their appointment and commencement of a new phase of their professional lives.

The National Rozgar Mela is an important initiative of the Government aimed at providing appointment opportunities to youth and strengthening the workforce across various departments and organisations. It also reflects the Government’s continued focus on employment generation, youth empowerment and creating opportunities for young people to contribute to nation-building.

The Nagpur programme will bring together candidates and representatives of participating departments on a common platform, highlighting the significance of public service and the opportunities available to the new generation of government employees.
