Successful participants will subsequently move to the Essay stage from 5 to 9 October, followed by the District Championship through presentations from 10 to 16 November. The State-level VBYLD presentation stage will be held from 17 November to 7 December 2026, leading to the National Dialogue scheduled from 10 to 12 January 2027.

The Challenge Track covers ten thematic areas, including Future Governance, Urban Transformation & Citizen Services; Climate Security, Borders & Sustainable Mountain Development; Demographic Dividend, Human Capital Development & Youth Development; Sustainable Industrialisation, Resource-led Growth & Promoting Sustainability; Act East, Cultural Leadership & Enhancing Connectivity; Manufacturing, Entrepreneurship & Green Growth; Tribal Leadership, Natural Resources & Inclusive Development; Innovation Economy, Tourism & Creative Industries; Technology, Innovation, Future Readiness & Creating Employability; and Blue Economy, Human Capital & Global Competitiveness.

The National Youth Festival, organised annually since 1995 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 12 January, has served as a flagship platform for youth empowerment, leadership, national integration and cultural exchange. In 2025, in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, the National Youth Festival was restructured as the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD).
