The Office of the Principal Controller of Communication Accounts, Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Chennai, organized a Telecom Outreach Programme in Madurai on August 28, 2026, in hybrid mode (in-person and virtual).

During the session, the Joint Controller of Communication Accounts (License Fee) briefed the participants on the financial provisions, terms, and nuances of telecom license agreements and addressed queries raised by Internet Service Providers (ISPs). As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to leading ISPs with exemplary compliance records for timely payment of Q1 license fees, submission of requisite documents, and renewal of bank guarantees within the stipulated timeframe.

Subsequently, the Telecom Pensioners’ Adalat for August 2026 was conducted in Madurai. All 36 grievances submitted by pensioners and pensioners’ associations were examined in detail and resolved in accordance with the prevailing government rules. In addition, fresh grievances received during the Adalat were taken up for consideration and further necessary action.
