The three-day District-Level Under-19 Football Tournament, organized by BSF Gujarat Frontier in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) under the Government of India “Khelo India” initiative and the “Spandan” (Sports for Peace and Development Across the Nation) campaign, concluded successfully on 27 August 2026 at Frontier Headquarters Gujarat, Gandhinagar. The competition was held from 25 to 27 August 2026.

Players and coaches from various football clubs in the Gandhinagar area participated enthusiastically in the competition. The primary objective of the competition was to promote sportsmanship, discipline, national unity, team spirit, and healthy competition among the youth, and to provide them with positive direction through sports. A total of six teams in the Under-19 age group participated in the competition, displaying excellent sportsmanship, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The award-winning players and the winning and runner-up teams at the Spandan League District-Level Football Competition were as follows:

Addressing the closing ceremony, Sh. Prakhar Trivedi, DIG/PSO, Gujarat Frontier, and Mr. Ashok Khatri, Deputy Director, Sports Authority of India (SAI), Gandhinagar, congratulated all the winning teams, players, and participants for their outstanding performance and sportsmanship. The chief guest emphasized that sports not only promote physical and mental fitness, but also plays an important role in character building, discipline, leadership skills, and team spirit. He encouraged all the players to continue their enthusiasm and dedication in the future and wished them success and a bright future.

The successful organization of the competition is an important initiative of the Border Security Force, Gujarat, to connect youth with sports, develop positive thinking in them, and strengthen the spirit of peace, harmony, and brotherhood in society.
