Two-Day Conference of Principal Chief Commissioners/Principal Director Generals of Income Tax Begins in Jaipur

The two-day Conference of Principal Chief Commissioners and Principal Director Generals of Income Tax, organised by the Income Tax Department, commenced today in Jaipur. Being held on 17 and 18 August, the conference was inaugurated by Shri Ravi Agrawal, Chairman, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), New Delhi.

The conference aims to facilitate comprehensive and meaningful deliberations among senior officers from across the country on important present and future issues concerning the Income Tax Department, and to discuss necessary suggestions and action plans for making the functioning of the Department more effective.

On the first day of the conference, detailed deliberations were held on various administrative and functional matters relating to the Income Tax Department. Important issues, including the e-Human Resource Management System, service matters, reservation policy, taxpayer services, Systems Directorate, capacity building, infrastructure and expenditure budget, were discussed.

The extensive deliberations on the first day are expected to contribute towards making the functioning of the Income Tax Department more efficient, responsive and aligned with future requirements.

Members of the Central Board of Direct Taxes, Shri Pankaj Kumar Mishra, Shri Sanjay Bahadur, Shri Prasenjit Singh, Smt. G. Aparna Rao, Ms. Pallavi Agarwal and Shri Sunil Kumar Singh, Shri Sumeet Kumar, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Rajasthan, Jaipur along with Principal Chief Commissioners of Income Tax, Principal Directors of Income Tax, Commissioners of Income Tax (Administration) and other senior officers posted in various charges of the Income Tax Department across the country, participated in the conference.
