BSNL Goa has invited local entrepreneurs, youth, students and self-employed individuals to partner in the expansion of BharatNet Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) services across rural Goa.
The initiative, being implemented under the Digital Bharat Nidhi of the Ministry of Communications, aims to strengthen broadband connectivity in rural areas under the BharatNet project.
BSNL Goa plans to interconnect all Gram Panchayats in the state with high-speed 1 Gbps connectivity and subsequently provide FTTH services to households, businesses and other users in villages.
The laying of optical fibre cables and interconnection of Gram Panchayats is expected to begin from October 2026, with FTTH connections being rolled out in phases.
As part of the last-mile connectivity, BSNL is looking for local partners who can extend optical fibre connectivity from Gram Panchayat locations to customer premises. The initiative is expected to provide business and employment opportunities for local youth and entrepreneurs while improving digital connectivity in rural Goa.
Interested persons can submit their applications expressing interest to the DGM (EB/Marketing), O/o PGMT, BSNL, 3rd Floor, Sanchar Bhavan, Panaji.
