Rear Admiral Srinivas Maddula, VSM, assumed command of the Western Fleet from Vice Admiral Vivek Dahiya, NM, on 27 July, 2026.

 

Commissioned into the Indian Navy on 01 January 1994, the Flag Officer is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy Khadakwasla, the United States Marine Corps Command and Staff College, Virginia and Naval War College, Goa. He has held key afloat and shore appointments including Command of INFAC T-80, IN ships Nipat, Godavari, Ganga and Trikand, and the base depot ship INS Kadamba.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Foreign Cooperation and Intelligence) at Naval Headquarters, New Delhi and previously as the Flag Officer Sea Training in Southern Naval Command, Kochi.
