Spices Board Invites applications for availing assistance under various programmes of the SPICED Scheme during 2026-27

Kochi, 01st July 2026: Spices Board, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is implementing the scheme Sustainability in Spice Sector through Progressive, Innovative and Collaborative Interventions for Export Development (SPICED). The SPICED scheme, which had been approved for implementation during the 15th Finance Commission Cycle up to FY 2025-26, is extended up to 30 September 2026 or until approval of the proposed scheme for the 16th Finance Commission Cycle, whichever is earlier. The SPICED Scheme envisages expansion of area and improvement in productivity of small and large cardamom, generation of exportable surplus of quality spices through post-harvest improvement, export promotion of spices, enhancement in the share of value-added spices in the export basket, evaluation of compliance of export consignments with applicable standards of quality and safety, and capacity building and skill development of stakeholders. Applications are invited from eligible exporters, farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and other stakeholders of the spices sector for availing assistance under the various programmes/components of the SPICED Scheme for the year 202627. Online submission of applications commences on 1 July 2026. The guidelines for implementation of the SPICED Scheme are available at the link: Guidelines for implementation of SPICED Scheme.pdf . Stakeholders are advised to go through the scheme guidelines in detail before submission of applications. The last date for submission of online applications is 31st August 2026. All stakeholders intending to avail assistance under the SPICED scheme are requested to submit their applications within the prescribed time schedule. Incomplete applications and applications received after the prescribed date are liable to be rejected.
