PM Disburses ₹2,400 Crore under PM-VBRY to Over 15 Lakh Beneficiaries Across India


Union Minister of State Shri Shripad Yesso Naik Leads Regional Event in Goa; Employment Letters Distributed to Newly Recruited Workers

Panaji-Goa, June 19, 2026

The national event, held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, was led by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who disbursed incentives worth ₹2,400 crore to more than 15 lakh beneficiaries across the country under the PM-VBRY scheme.

As part of a nationwide initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, Regional Office, Panaji organized a special regional programme today at S.Z. Qasim Hall, CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Goa.

The programme in Goa was graced by Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy, as the Chief Guest. Shri Sadanand Shet Tanawade, Hon’ble Member of Rajya Sabha and Shri Jay Kumar, Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik appreciated the vision and implementation of PM-VBRY across the country and particularly in Goa. He urged all stakeholders to actively participate in the Scheme and encouraged employers to generate more employment opportunities.

Member of Rajya Sabha Shri Sadanand Shet Tanawade said that beneficiaries to sustain their employment for at least six months to fully integrate into the formal economy through an on-the-job learning approach. also stated that employment generation and workforce participation are vital components in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

During the programme, employers distributed employment letters to newly recruited workers. Employers and employees who received benefits under the Scheme shared their experiences during the event. expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for introducing a transparent and inclusive employment-linked incentive scheme.

The event witnessed the participation of stakeholders, beneficiaries, employers, representatives of industry associations, public representatives, senior State Government officials, and officers and staff of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation.
