DGTS Mumbai Showcases CBIC’s Trade Facilitation Initiatives at BCBA Logistics Conclave 2026

The Directorate General of Taxpayer Services (DGTS), Mumbai Zonal Unit, participated in the 2nd Edition of the BCBA Logistics Conclave 2026 organised by the Brihanmumbai Customs Brokers Association (BCBA) in Mumbai on June 17, 2026. The conclave brought together senior CBIC officials, Customs officers, Customs Brokers, importers, exporters, logistics service providers, trade associations and other stakeholders associated with international trade and logistics.

The event was attended by Yogendra Garg, Member (Customs), CBIC; Anupam Prakash, Joint Secretary (Customs); Mayank Kumar, Principal Chief Commissioner, Mumbai Customs Zone-I; Vimal Srivastava, Chief Commissioner, Mumbai Customs Zone-II; and B.B. Gupta, Chief Commissioner, Mumbai Customs Zone-III. Vivek Chaturvedi, Chairman, CBIC, addressed participants virtually and shared his views on trade facilitation, logistics efficiency and the vision of Viksit Bharat.

During stakeholder interactions, Yogendra Garg outlined the logistics roadmap for Viksit Bharat across the milestones of 2030, 2035 and 2047, while Anupam Prakash highlighted CBIC’s efforts to integrate ICEGATE, RMS and ICEC into a unified Customs Integrated System. Both emphasised the role of technology-driven governance, digital integration and stakeholder-centric reforms in strengthening India’s logistics ecosystem.

A CBIC Pavilion was set up by DGTS, Mumbai Zonal Unit, with support from Customs formations, showcasing key Customs and GST initiatives. The pavilion attracted significant interest from stakeholders and visitors.
The pavilion highlighted major digital and trade facilitation reforms, including the e-Bond system, Electronic Bank Guarantee, Automated Out-of-Charge facility, ICEGATE services, e-scheduling of examinations, ICETABs and other faceless, paperless and contactless Customs processes.

Participants were also briefed on key initiatives such as DPD, DPE, the AEO Programme, SWIFT, RMS, Faceless Assessment, Non-Intrusive Inspection technologies and the NAC Portal, aimed at facilitating trade and improving ease of doing business.The conclave also highlighted CBIC's measures to address global supply-chain disruptions and support trade stakeholders affected by developments in West Asia.
