The Income Tax Department is committed to curbing the misuse of money during the biennial election to the Maharashtra Legislative Council. With the objective of ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections, and to maintain the integrity of the election process, the Income Tax Department, Pune has established a 24x7 Election Monitoring Control Room for the following local Authorities Constituencies:-

Pune, Thane, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Sangli–Satara, and Raigad-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg.

This control room will remain operational as long as the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is in force. The objective behind this is to sensitize citizens and the public of the state to report information regarding cash and valuables being used for election campaigning.
