Despite the ongoing geopolitical situation, Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) IndianOil, BPCL and HPCL continue to ensure uninterrupted availability of Petrol, Diesel and LPG across the country through their extensive network of terminals, depots, pipelines, LPG bottling plants and retail outlets.

The OMCs are working closely with State Governments and local administrations to maintain seamless supplies. Supply teams, transport networks, terminal operations and select retail outlets are functioning round the clock to ensure timely replenishment of fuel across markets.

The PSU OMCs have ensured 100 percent supply of Domestic LPG and have implemented measures such as enhanced refinery production and prioritisation of critical sectors to strengthen supply management. Commercial LPG supplies are being prioritised for hospitals, educational institutions, pharmaceutical units, agriculture and other essential industries.

In Goa, diesel sales through PSU retail outlets have recorded an increase of over 15 percent in both North Goa and South Goa districts compared to normal operational growth. The rise is largely attributed to a shift in demand from bulk consumers to retail channels.

The Government of India has requested States and Union Territories to take strict action against hoarding, black marketing, unauthorised stocking and diversion of petroleum products. Industry associations have also been advised to procure diesel only through authorised channels.

The PSU oil industry reassures consumers that adequate stocks of Petrol, Diesel and LPG are available and all necessary measures are in place to maintain uninterrupted supplies.

Citizens are advised to continue normal purchasing behaviour and avoid panic buying. Consumers are also requested to rely only on official communications issued by authorised agencies and Oil Marketing Companies for accurate information on fuel availability.
