In accordance with Article 151(2) of the Constitution of India, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India is required to forward his Audit Report on the accounts of the Government of Tamil Nadu to the Governor, who causes it to be laid on the table of the State Legislature.

Accordingly, the State Finances Audit Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Government of Tamil Nadu for the year 2024-25, was handed over to the Governor of Tamil Nadu on 27.05.2026 for laying before the State Legislative Assembly.
