The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Chennai, celebrated Graduation Show 2026 on 22nd May 2026 at NIFT, Chennai. This landmark event highlighted the institution’s unwavering commitment to excellence in fashion, design, and technology.

The Graduation Show was a culmination of the creative journey and academic rigor of the graduating students from the departments of Fashion Design, Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories, Leather Design, Knitwear Design, and Textile Design. Models took to the runway donning innovative garments and accessories, demonstrating a perfect fusion of creativity, craftsmanship, and market relevance.

 

At 3:30 PM, students from Fashion Management Studies and Fashion Technology presented their graduation research projects under the banners BOTTOMLINE and TECHNOVA respectively, showcasing their analytical capabilities and industry-oriented research.

At 4:30 PM, NIFT Chennai hosted a curated Graduation Show Exhibition showcasing concept boards, installations, and interactive displays. The exhibition offered visitors and media a deep insight into the creative process, capturing the research, storytelling, and innovation that power modern fashion.

The Graduation Show was graced by Dr. Malini V. Shankar, Vice Chancellor, Indian Maritime University, Chennai, who served as the Chief Guest.

Guests of Honour included Mrs. Shehnaz Shariff, Chief Business Officer, Indian Terrain Fashion Limited, Chennai and Mr. Mahesh Rajamani, Co-Founder & Director, Ashvattha Consulting Pvt. Ltd., both prominent champions of design innovation and education.

The formal programme began at 6:00 PM with the Welcome Address delivered by Prof. Dr. Divya Satyan, Director of NIFT Chennai, followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour.

The event witnessed the presence of faculty members, staff, students, industry stakeholders, and invited guests, all gathered to witness the creative brilliance of the outgoing batch.
