MoS Shri Jitin Prasada Launches ‘SATYA AURA’ at C-DAC Mumbai,Reviews Indigenous AI & Technology Innovations

Minister of State (MoS) in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Shri Jitin Prasada visited the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) Centre at Mumbai on Wednesday, 13th May 2026. During the visit, MoS Shri Jitin Prasada launched “SATYA AURA”, which is a smart browser-based accessibility solution designed to make websites more accessible and user-friendly for everyone. The solution supports users with visual, cognitive, motor, auditory, neurological, and age-related accessibility needs, including senior citizens.

On this occasion, the Union Minister reviewed the ongoing research, technology development and innovation activities being undertaken by the organization in strategic and emerging sectors. The Minister was briefed on key research areas and indigenous technology development efforts aimed at strengthening India’s scientific and technological capabilities.

An MoU was exchanged between Center of Data for Public Good (CDPG), Foundation for Science Innovation and Development, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to cooperate in the areas of Sovereign AI Infrastructure, Trusted AI-as-a-Service, Interoperability & Open Standards & Policy & Accountability Frameworks. C-DAC Mumbai Executive Director Aditya Kumar Sinha & Director (Geospatial) and Principal Scientist at CDPG, FSID-Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru Jyotirmoy Dutta exchanged the MoU.

Addressing the gathering, the MoS Shri Jitin Prasada appreciated the contribution of the organization and its scientists in supporting national priorities through indigenous solutions, research and technology-driven innovation. Shri Prasada added that C-DAC should have a forward-looking approach and be ready with future skills like AI, Quantum technologies, blockchain as there is immense talent & experience in C-DAC.

The Minister highlighted the Government’s continued commitment to strengthening the country’s R&D infrastructure and promoting a culture of innovation among youth and researchers so that young researchers get access and opportunities to resources.

Senior officials of C-DAC, including the Executive Director Shri Aditya Kumar Sinha were present during the visit.
