Shri Dineshsinh Kushwah, Hon'ble MLA, Bapunagar in his address stated that the Free Annual Health Check-up Programme for insured persons above 40 years of age launched at ESIC Hospital, Bapunagar is a highly commendable initiative. In today's changing lifestyle and working conditions, the risk of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and heart diseases increases after the age of 40 years. If these diseases are identified at an early stage, they can not only be controlled but serious complications can also be prevented. He further stated that from this perspective, the initiative strengthens not only curative but also preventive healthcare services. It reflects a move towards a holistic healthcare model focusing on the overall health and well-being of individuals.
Shri Hemant Kumar Pandey, Regional Director informed the insured persons and employers about the benefits of the notified Labour Codes and elaborated on various facilities and benefits provided by ESIC. He also informed that the Free Annual Health Check-up Programme for insured persons above 40 years of age would continue throughout the year in all ESIC and ESIS hospitals across Gujarat.
During the programme, health check-ups of insured persons were conducted and they were made aware about the importance of regular health screening and adopting a healthy lifestyle. The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) will continue this programme throughout the year to ensure that maximum insured persons can avail the benefits of preventive healthcare services.
