‘Nari Shakti Run’ in BKC Mumbai on 18th April
Enthusiastic Participation of Women under ‘Nari Shakti Vandan’
Over 35,000 Women to Participate Across Seven Cities Nationwide

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS), Government of India, will organise the “Nari Shakti for Viksit Bharat Run” in BKC Mumbai on Saturday 18th April 2026. As part of a nationwide initiative being held simultaneously across seven major cities - Bengaluru, Mumbai, Patna, Cuttack, Delhi, Jaipur, and Indore.

'Mera Yuva Bharat' (MYB) Maharashtra State Director Amit Punde, shared this information today during a press conference. Deputy Director Anup Ingole and Accounts Officer Madan Gheghate were present on this occasion.
The event in Mumbai will be graced by Maharashtra State Minister for Women & Child Development Aditi Tatkare, along with Minister of Cultural Affairs Ashish Shelar, Minister of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Mumbai City’s Mayor Ritu Tawade and MLA Amit Satam. The registration process for participants will commence at 6:30 AM. Subsequently, a collective ‘Nari Shakti Pledge’ will be administered in the presence of the dignitaries. The run is scheduled to begin at 7:30 AM.
Amit Punde stated that, the run will be starting from Avenue 5 Road near Parinee Crescenzo Building, BKC Mumbai, up to Dhirubhai Ambani International School and returning to the starting point at Avenue 5, covering a distance of approximately 2.2 kilometres. The event is expected to witness participation of 3000 women. Certificates will be distributed to all participants.

Anchored on the theme Nari Shakti Vandan, the initiative aims to celebrate women’s empowerment and reinforce their role in building a Viksit Bharat through active public participation.
The event is being mobilised through Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), National Service Scheme (NSS), Sports Authority of India (SAI), and various partner organizations.
This is going to be the run where we are going to have maximum participation of women; these women are going to include students, women, and representatives from spiritual organizations and NGOs.
