Mumbai, 11 April 2026

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai celebrated the graduation of its first MBA batch (2026) at its campus today. The event was attended by Shri Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of the National Stock Exchange, Prof. Manoj Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, and Shri Shashi Kiran Shetty, Chairman of IIM Mumbai and Founder of Allcargo Group. The students were honored for their hard work in different programs, including General MBA, Operations & Logistics, and Sustainability Management.

A total of 505 students graduated from IIM Mumbai this year, after the institute officially became an IIM in 2026. This includes 300 students from the General MBA program, 177 from Operations and Supply Chain Management, and 28 from Sustainability Management. Along with them, 39 students completed a one-year executive program in Logistics and Operations Excellence through Digitization, 26 students finished another executive program, and 7 students received doctoral degrees.

Shri Ashishkumar Chauhan congratulated the students and said their success reflects hard work and dedication. He advised them to stay adaptable, think clearly, and act with honesty as they move forward in their careers. He also highlighted their important role in building India’s future.

Prof. Manoj Tiwari said he is proud of the first MBA batch and believes they will make a positive impact in different fields.
Shri Shashi Kiran Shetty said the institute is committed to developing future leaders and plans to expand further to become a world-class institution.

The ceremony marked a proud beginning for IIM Mumbai, as its first MBA graduates step forward to shape the future with knowledge, skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.
