Indian Institute of Management Raipur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SAGE Publications India to launch its flagship academic journal, ''Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development Review'', in a significant step towards strengthening India’s footprint in global management research.

This initiative marks a major milestone in the institute’s academic and research trajectory, aimed at creating a high-quality, globally competitive platform for scholarly work in entrepreneurship, enterprise development and business innovation. The journal aligns with the institute’s vision of “Building Business Owners” and is expected to adhere to international publishing standards, ensuring wider global visibility.

Professor Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge, Indian Institute of Management Raipur, said the launch reflects the institute’s evolving academic ecosystem. He noted that the institution has consistently focused on strengthening academic programmes and research capabilities, and the journal would serve as a natural extension of its intellectual contributions and global aspirations.

Welcoming the collaboration, Professor Satyasiba Das, Dean (External Relations), Indian Institute of Management Raipur, said that while Indian scholars have been contributing extensively to international journals, there is a growing need to build strong indigenous platforms capable of competing globally. He emphasised that the new journal represents a strategic long-term commitment and will require sustained academic rigour to establish international credibility.

The journal has been under development for over two years under the leadership of Professors Manojit Chattopadhyay and Pradiptarathi Panda of Indian Institute of Management Raipur, in collaboration with the SAGE team. It is envisaged as a flagship initiative to promote high-impact research, foster scholarly exchange and enhance India’s presence in global management literature.

MoU signing ceremony was attended by faculty members, research scholars and representatives of SAGE Publications at the Indian Institute of Management Raipur campus, marking the beginning of a long-term academic partnership focused on excellence in research and publishing.
