Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in Goa have confirmed that the availability of Petrol, Diesel, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the State is sufficient to meet current demand.
In a press note issued today, April 10th, Shri Madhurendra K. Pandey, State Level Coordinator for public sector OMCs, said that the companies are monitoring the supply situation and have taken steps to streamline logistics and expedite deliveries. Fuel supplies across the State remain uninterrupted. Coordination with the State Government and District Administration continues to ensure supply stability, he said.
“The public sector oil companies have prioritised domestic LPG distribution. Cylinder deliveries are proceeding as scheduled. At present, around 10,600 domestic LPG cylinders are delivered daily in Goa on an industry basis. This matches delivery levels recorded before recent geopolitical developments and meets current requirements. Consumers are encouraged to book LPG cylinders through SMS, missed call, or IVRS platforms. Use of the Delivery Authentication Code is advised to ensure delivery to intended beneficiaries,” he said.
The Central and State Governments are promoting Piped Natural Gas (PNG) as a cooking fuel alternative. PNG services are available in Panaji, Madgaon, and Ponda. Consumers can register through the online portals of Goa Natural Gas Pvt. Ltd. (North Goa) and Indian Oil Adani Gas Pvt. Ltd. (South Goa).
According to the press note, for migrant workers and students without local address proof, 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders are available through authorised distributors upon submission of a valid government-issued photo identity and a declaration.
“The OMCs are conducting inspections at LPG distributorships to ensure compliance and continuity of supply. The State Government and District Administration are carrying out market inspections and enforcement drives to prevent hoarding and black marketing. So far, district authorities in Goa have conducted 305 enforcement raids to date and have taken action in cases where irregularities were detected,” Shri Pandey said.
Petrol and diesel supplies across Goa remain uninterrupted. Demand levels remain aligned with supply and distribution capacity. A temporary increase in demand was addressed through logistics planning and timely replenishment. The public is advised not to act on rumours of shortages or engage in panic buying, he said in the press note.
