53rd Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani 2025–26 Begins in Pune


A Step Towards Innovation, Discovery, and a Self-Reliant India

Pune, 9 April 2026 

The three-day 53rd Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani 2025–26, organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, is being held from 8th April to 10th April 2026 at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ganeshkhind, Pune.

The exhibition provides a platform for 571 young budding scientists from 25 regions of Kendriya Vidyalayas across India to showcase their scientific talent and creativity. The main objective of this event is to promote a scientific outlook, innovation, and a spirit of research among students.

This year’s theme, “Developed and Self-Reliant India” (Viksit and Aatmanirbhar Bharat), highlights projects and models that propose solutions to make the country self-reliant.

Major attractions of the exhibition include:

* Science and technology-based models
* Projects on environmental conservation
* Innovations in renewable energy
* Solutions in agriculture and healthcare sectors

The Chief Guest of the inaugural ceremony, Shri R. P. Pandey, Outstanding Scientist and Associate Director at ARDE Pune, appreciated the participants and emphasized that curiosity, hard work, and continuous practice are essential for success in science.

Shri Soumit Shrivastava, Joint Commissioner (Academics), KVS Headquarters, New Delhi, joined virtually and congratulated the students for their innovative projects. He also highlighted the importance of non-conventional energy conservation and maintaining good health.

Other dignitaries present included Shri B. K. Behera, Deputy Commissioner, KVS Mumbai Region; Shri Sumit Mehra, Assistant Commissioner, KVS Mumbai Region; and the host school Principal, Shri Avijit Panda. Principals from various Kendriya Vidyalayas, escort teachers, and judges also attended the event.

In his welcome address, Shri B. K. Behera encouraged students to become changemakers and contribute to building a scientifically advanced India. Shri Sumit Mehra motivated participants to explore new technologies, experiment, and present their ideas with confidence.

Shri Avijit Panda spoke about the importance of STEM education in building a developed and self-reliant nation.

The inauguration ceremony also featured vibrant cultural performances by students from various Kendriya Vidyalayas in Pune.

This exhibition not only provides a competitive platform but also inspires students to learn, explore, and aspire to become future scientists.
