"From Remembrance to Responsibility": Smt. Raksha Khadse Calls Youth to Carry Forward Legacy of Martyrs on Shaheed Diwas
10,000 youth join “MY Bharat, MY Responsibility” padyatra, reinforcing commitment to Viksit Bharat 2047

On the occasion of Shaheed Diwas, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, Smt. Raksha Nikhil Khadse, led a “MY Bharat, MY Responsibility” padyatra in Faridabad, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports under the MY Bharat initiative, with the objective of promoting patriotism, unity, and civic responsibility among youth.
The padyatra commenced from K.L. Mehta Dayanand College and culminated at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, with participation of around 10,000 youth. Participants paid floral tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev.
The event was attended by Shri Gaurav Gautam, Minister of State (Youth Empowerment & Entrepreneurship, Sports), Government of Haryana; Shri Dhanesh Adlakha, MLA; Smt. Praveen Joshi, Mayor, Municipal Corporation Faridabad; Dr. Priyanka Shukla, Chief Executive Officer, MY Bharat, Shri Ayush Sinha, Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad; Smt. Saloni Sharma, Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Faridabad, along with senior officials of the district administration and MY Bharat, including organisers and volunteers.
Addressing the gathering, Smt. Khadse said that Shaheed Diwas is an occasion to remember the sacrifices of India’s great revolutionaries and to reaffirm commitment towards nation-building. She emphasised that a nation rooted in its history becomes stronger and more self-reliant, and called upon the youth to draw inspiration from the lives and ideals of the martyrs.
Referring to the vision of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, she stated that achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047 requires active and meaningful participation of the youth. She urged young citizens to contribute towards nation-building by adopting values of discipline, responsibility, and service.
Smt. Khadse further stated that the MY Bharat initiative provides a platform to engage youth in activities such as fitness drives, cleanliness campaigns, and awareness programmes. She informed that over 2.15 crore youth have registered on the platform and are participating in various nation-building activities across the country.
Appreciating the participation of youth in Faridabad, she noted that such initiatives reflect growing awareness and commitment among young citizens towards national development.
The programme concluded with a pledge by participants to contribute towards building a developed and self-reliant India.
