Ministry of Education, Government of India has designated the Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai as the nodal institute for the state of Chhattisgarh under Yuva Sangam Phase-VI, a national youth exchange initiative implemented as part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat campaign to promote cultural, educational and social integration among young people across the country.

 

The programme is being implemented by the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. In the sixth phase of the initiative, Chhattisgarh has been paired with Delhi. As part of the exchange, selected youth from Chhattisgarh will undertake a five to seven-day educational and cultural exposure visit to Delhi, while participants from Delhi will visit Chhattisgarh.

 

For the Delhi leg of the programme, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has been designated as the nodal institute responsible for coordinating programme activities.

 

During the exchange programme, participants will engage in a range of activities including visits to premier educational institutions, tours of important historical and cultural landmarks, and interactions with local communities. The initiative involves participation from several higher educational institutions across the country and is aimed at strengthening national integration, mutual understanding and cultural exchange among the youth.

 

Students in the 18–30 years age group, including volunteers associated with the National Service Scheme (NSS), the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and young professionals, are eligible to participate in the programme.

 

At the Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai, Dr. Krishna Murari has been appointed as the Nodal Officer to coordinate the programme activities. The last date for registration is March 18, 2026.
