The 9th Siddha Day was celebrated at the Siddha Central Research Institute, Anna Hospital campus, Arumbakkam, Chennai. 

The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. N. J. Muthukumar, Director, Central Council for Research in Siddha. The awareness walk commenced this morning with active participation from the staff of the Siddha Central Research Institute, students of the Government Siddha Medical College, and Siddha doctors. The free medical camp was conducted at this campus.

A total of 500 members of the public benefited from the camp. During the camp, Siddha physicians provided guidance on Siddha lifestyle practices for conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. In addition, ECG, Complete Blood Count and other test were conducted free of cost. All participants of the camp were provided with herbal saplings, along with guidance on simple home remedies and their usage.

Dr. T. Komalavalli, Joint Director, Department of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy Dr. Venkadappan, Principal, Government Siddha Medical College, Chennai, Dr. A. Kanagarajan, Director, Siddha Central Research Institute were participated at this function.
