The historic nationwide campaign, 'Sardar@150 Unity March,' dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, was announced at a crucial press conference held on Wednesday at the Circuit House, Raipur. Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Arun Sao, presented the blueprint for this massive event and urged the youth to participate actively. 

Speaking to reporters, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao stated, "The Government of India is organizing this March to awaken the spirit of unity, patriotism, and duty among the youth. Just as Sardar Patel unified a fragmented India, we will carry forward that spirit so the youth can adopt the ideals of 'Ek Bharat' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat.' During this journey, we will also raise awareness about crucial issues like drug eradication and the indigenous (Swadeshi) campaign, aligning with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji's effective work towards his vision of a self-reliant and united India." He confirmed that the march will feature youth from NSS, NCC, and MY Bharat, along with all other young people from the state. 

The campaign, which began digitally on October 6, 2025, is split into two phases: District Level Padyatras (October 31 – November 25, 2025) will involve 8–10 km walks in every district, preceded by events like essay competitions, seminars on Patel's life, and pledges for a 'Drug-Free India' and “Proudly Swadeshi”. This will culminate in a National Padyatra (November 26 – December 6, 2025), a 152 km walk from Sardar Patel’s birthplace, Karamsad, to the Statue of Unity, Kevadia, featuring a 'Sardar Gatha' storytelling session every evening and 'Viksit Bharat' exhibitions. Interested young people can register on the MY Bharat portal to participate.
