On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji and as part of Special Campaign 5.0, Indiatourism Mumbai, Regional Office of the Ministry of Tourism organized a cleanliness drive outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and the General Post Office (GPO) area on 2nd October 2025.

The initiative witnessed active participation from officials of Indiatourism Mumbai along with students of the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Mumbai, and Rizvi College of Arts, Science & Commerce – Hospitality Studies, Mumbai.

As part of the campaign, activities were conducted at different locations including Khaugalli, outside the General Post Office, and the CST area, highlighting the visible impact of the drive. Around 75 participants enthusiastically joined the activity, contributing to creating awareness about cleanliness and public responsibility. To acknowledge and encourage their contribution, Indiatourism Mumbai distributed t-shirts, caps, and refreshments to all participants.

This drive marked the beginning of Special Campaign 5.0, which will be observed nationwide from 2nd October to 31st October 2025, focusing on cleanliness, e-waste disposal, records management, and overall office/workplace improvement.
