Shri Prashant Pathrabe is a 1993 batch Indian Information Service officer. He has served in various departments under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. His first appointment was as Assistant Director in DD News Mumbai. He has served at All India Radio-Mumbai, PIB-Pune. He has also Served as a PRO at Southern Command at Pune.

He has also held the charge of Director in the National Film Archive of India (NFAI) and Films Division, Pune and as Director of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. He was handling the responsibility of PIB Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh as Additional Director General (ADG). Now, he has taken charge of ADG, PIB, Ahmedabad today. Mr. Pathrabe has done his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad in 1990 and has been serving in the Indian Information Service for over 30 years.
