Optimising Services under DAJGUA

Replying today an un-starred question of Smt Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam,Smt Himadri Singh, Smt Roopkumari Choudhary the Union Minister of State For Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey informed Lok Sabha today that Dharti Aba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) aims to saturate the existing gaps in critical infrastruture in tribal-majority villages. A key feature of the mission is its inter-ministerial convergence, where 17 Ministries of the Government of India will unite for the welfare of tribal communities through 25 focus interventions. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs will serve as the nodal agency, coordinating with Central Ministries for planning, implementation, and monitoring.
In order to promote digital inclusion and electrification of tribal villages the following schemes from three Ministries have been included under 'DhartiAabaJanjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan'(DAJGUA):

Under 'DhartiAabaJanjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan'(DAJGUA), the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) has a mandate for construction of 1000 residential hostels to ensure access to quality education to tribal students in the country.

Under DhartiAabaJanjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), the Ministry of tribal Affairs have regular coordination meetings with other central ministries to ensure effective implementation of the scheem. Further, regular review meetings are also held with respective State Governments. Furthermore, through the initiatives Adi KarmaYogiAbhiyan , the Ministry has been actively encouiraging community engagement and involvement also.
