As a part of the ongoing "Forever in Letters" campaign, which aims to rekindle the charm of handwritten communication and promote philately among the younger generation, the Department of Posts has decided to release a special set of picture postcards on the theme "Rain and Tagore" during monsoon.

Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore's legacy is a testament to the enduring power of art and literature which transcends borders and brings people together. His poetry, philosophy and contribution to the field of education and culture continue to inspire and guide us. This thematic set of picture postcards would have the deep cultural connection that an individual holds with Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore and its romanticism with the monsoon season.

The theme seeks to capture the poetic imagery, nostalgia and lyrical depth that rain evokes in Tagore writings- offering a perfect blend of literature, nature, and emotion. The initiative will serve as an evocative medium to encourage young minds to express through letter-writing along with to celebrate the literary legacy of Tagore.

On the death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Department of Posts, West Bengal will release a set of eight Picture Postcards on "Rain & Tagore", in commemoration of the profound impact that Tagore has on the world through his writings on monsoons, tomorrow.
