The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI) successfully organized the "Start-up and MSME 2025 Conference From Ideation to Implementation" today at Ahmedabad. This event proved to be a vital platform for promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and growth among start-ups and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Gujarat and the country.

The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Jagdish Vishwakarma, Minister of State for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Government of Gujarat. In his address, he emphasized the crucial role of MSMEs in economic development and job creation. He also highlighted the Gujarat government's commitment to supporting start-ups and small businesses through progressive policies and initiatives.

The conference featured several panel discussions led by industry experts, focusing on key aspects of the start-up and MSME ecosystem such as financing, compliance, and strategies for business expansion. One of the highlights of the event was the "Special Address by Ecosystem Partner" session, delivered by Shri Hemant Kumar Pandey, Regional Director, Gujarat. He provided detailed insights into the Employees' State Insurance (ESI) scheme and its benefits for employers and employees. He also introduced two groundbreaking initiatives launched by the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) - the SPREE-2025 Scheme and the Amnesty Scheme -2025. These are aimed at enabling penalty-free registration with ESIC, enhancing social security compliance, and resolving long-pending legal disputes.

The conference was attended by a diverse audience including entrepreneurs, MSME owners, chartered accountants, policymakers, and industry leaders, facilitating meaningful discussions and networking opportunities. ICAI's initiative reinforced its commitment to bridging the gap between innovative ideas and their successful execution.
