Union Minister of State Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar described the transformation of remote tribal areas into digitally empowered, self-reliant communities as “a living testament to India’s grassroots progress.” During his visit to Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki under the Government of India’s Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP), the Minister lauded the role of women, digital infrastructure, and welfare schemes in accelerating inclusive development.
The visit, aimed at reviewing developmental indicators and engaging directly with citizens, underscored the Centre’s focus on last-mile delivery, digital literacy, and community-driven change.

High-Level Review and Policy Priorities
In a strategic review with district officials, Dr. Sekhar emphasized targeted action to address socio-economic and environmental challenges in the region. He called for 100% saturation of Central schemes like Amrit Sarovar, PMAY-G, MGNREGS, and PMGSY, urging real-time monitoring and timely execution.

Infrastructure and Welfare: Direct Field Assessments
Inspecting PMGSY road construction in Tumdikasa near Manpur, the Minister highlighted how improved connectivity fuels both safety and livelihood opportunities. At Village Adjal, he interacted with PMAY-G beneficiaries Ishwarlal/Bideram, affirming that safe housing brings dignity to rural families.

Women as the Backbone of Rural Growth
Dr. Sekhar engaged with Self Help Group (SHG) members under the DAY-NRLM (BIHAN), praising their financial discipline and enterprise. A symbolic Rakhi from SHG member Smt. Nageshwari Sinha marked a moment of mutual respect and emotional connection.
He also visited the home of Pashu Sakhi and Lakhpati Didi, Smt. Mahantin Kawaliya, acknowledging her as a model of women-led economic growth in rural India.

Strengthening Healthcare and Digital Access
At the CHC in Manpur, the Minister, himself a physician, praised the expanding public health network. At the Atal Seva Kendra, he observed citizens accessing digital services and emphasized their role in promoting digital literacy and trust in governance.

Advancing Tribal Education
Dr. Sekhar visited the Swami Atmanand Government School of Excellence, lauding the integration of smart classrooms and learning tools enabled by DMF and PM SHRI funds. He called the school a model of quality education in underserved regions.
