കേരളത്തിന്റെ മുൻമുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ വി.എസ്. അച്യുതാനന്ദന്റെ നിര്യാണത്തിൽ അനുശോചിച്ച് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി.
എക്‌സിലെ പോസ്റ്റിൽ അദ്ദേഹം കുറിച്ചു:
“കേരളത്തിന്റെ മുൻമുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ വി.എസ്. അച്യുതാനന്ദൻ ജിയുടെ വിയോഗത്തിൽ ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു. ജീവിതത്തിലെ നിരവധി വർഷങ്ങൾ പൊതുസേവനത്തിനും കേരളത്തിന്റെ പുരോഗതിക്കുമായി അദ്ദേഹം സമർപ്പിച്ചു. ഞങ്ങൾ രണ്ടുപേരും അതത് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിമാരായിരുന്നപ്പോഴുള്ള ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടപെടലുകൾ ഞാൻ ഓർക്കുകയാണ്. ഈ ദുഃഖവേളയിൽ എന്റെ ചിന്തകൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിനും അനുയായികൾക്കും ഒപ്പമാണ്..”
