Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), a pioneering national security and police university under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with three prominent technical universities in Uttar Pradesh. These strategic collaborations aim to strengthen academic training, research, and innovation in the field of technology and national security.

The partnering institutions include:

• Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Lucknow
• Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur
• Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur

The MoUs were formalized during a signing ceremony held on June 26, 2025, in the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel. The event was attended by distinguished Vice Chancellors-Prof. (Dr.) J.P. Pandey, Prof. (Dr.) Samsher, and Prof. (Dr.) J.P. Saini-from the respective institutions.

Representing RRU were key academic leaders, including Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Dr. Dharmeshkumar D. Prajapati, Registrar; Dr. S. L. Vaya, Life time Professor; Dr. Jasbirkaur Thadhani, Dean Academic; and Directors of all RRU schools.

“These MoUs represent a milestone in our journey to build a multidisciplinary academic ecosystem,” said Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra. “Our university is committed to fostering intellectual growth, research, innovation, and skill development through meaningful collaborations with leading institutions across India.”

 

The academic agreements aim to promote:

• Joint research initiatives in emerging and critical technologies
• Faculty and student exchange programs
• Collaborative teaching, training, and curriculum development
• Shared use of laboratories, libraries, and other academic infrastructure

Dr. Jasbirkaur Thadhani, Dean Academic, presented RRU’s academic structure, emphasizing the university's unique focus on national security education and cutting-edge fields such as Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Internal Security, Maritime Security, Forensics, Law, Psychology, and more.

Hon’ble Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel commended the initiative, recalling the transformation of the former Raksha Shakti University into Rashtriya Raksha University under the leadership of Prof.( Dr) Bimal .N. Patel,Vice Chancellor RRU, a vision inspired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. She highlighted the importance of such academic partnerships in preparing youth for national service and technological innovation.Smt. Anandiben Patel has also talked about self-less service to society and Nation being individual as well as Institutions

These MoUs are expected to significantly enhance the academic landscape by fostering a culture of innovation, collaborative learning, and advanced research, ultimately contributing to the development of skilled professionals across diverse sectors.
