On the occasion of the completion of 75 years of National Sample Survey, an interaction with Industrial units regarding Industrial Statistics was organised by Regional Office, Raipur of National Statistical Office, Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Government of India on 24.05.2025 in the office premises located at Bhakta Mata Karma Complex, New Rajendra Nagar, Raipur. 

The program was chaired by Mr. Altaf Hussain Haji, Deputy Director General, National Statistical Office, Regional Office, Raipur. Mr. N.K. Buliwal, Additional Director, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Raipur was also present in the program. The guests present in the program were welcomed and the program was conducted by Mr. R.K. Srivastava, Senior Statistical Officer. 

Presiding over the meeting, Shri Altaf Hussain Haji, Deputy Director General, underlined the importance of manufacturing units in the country's economy and said that with the help of real-time data received from these units, the formulation of policies for the development of the industrial sector and the progress made so far can be evaluated well. He apprised the participants about the role of National Sample Survey in achieving the goals of Developed India - 2047 and Sustainable Development Goals. Shri. N. Buliwal, who was present as a special guest in the program, expressed happiness on the completion of 75 years of National Sample Survey and highlighted the role of correct data in the overall development of the state. Mr. Sapan Kumar Saha, Mr. Kamlesh Ghosh, Mr. Ajay Agarwal and Kumari Sweta also expressed their views in the programme. 

Representatives from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Nandan Industrial Group, Mahendra Power and Sponge, Sunil Sponge Private Limited, Sharma Industries, Animesh Ispat, Esquire Food and Beverages, Bajrang Chemicals Distillery, Sarda Energy and Minerals, Mission Media Private Limited, Odisha Concrete, Rashmi Sponge and Iron Limited, Ganesh Bakers, Shiva Snacks, Delhi MSW Solutions Limited, Khyaati Sponge and Power participated in the program.

At the end of the program, letters of appreciation were also distributed to the representatives of industrial units for completing the work of Annual Industry Survey - 2023-24 on time.
