103 redeveloped railway stations are being inaugurated across the country by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, more than 1309 railway stations will be redeveloped and modernized across the country.

These stations have modern passenger amenities like roof plaza, beautiful landscaping, inter-modal connectivity, improved modern facade, children's play area, kiosks, food court etc. They are also being made eco-friendly and Divyaangjan friendly. The design of these station buildings is inspired by local culture, heritage and architecture.

Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, redevelopment work has been done at Mandi Dabwali station at a cost of about Rs. 13 crore. Mandi Dabwali is a historically and culturally important town in Sirsa district of Haryana.

Mandi Dabwali is famous as a market for agricultural products, where farmers come to sell their produce. Apart from this, industries like agricultural equipment, milk chilling, seed processing, rice shelling, straw board manufacturing, and steel fabrication are also established here. The city is especially known for the jeep modification industry, where consumers from all over the country come.

The old station building of Mandi Dabwali lacked adequate space and there was difficulty in developing passenger facilities. To expand passenger facilities, the station building has been renovated and improved under the Amrit Station Scheme. Station redevelopment has now provided adequate space in the station building. Planned development of circulating area, better arrival and departure arrangements and improved parking space have been done at Mandi Dabwali station.
Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the following facilities have been improved at Mandi Dabwali Railway Station:

•  Redevelopment of circulating area with landscape,
•  Separate entry and exit gates
•  Development of parking area
•  Construction of entrance hall in adequate area as per passenger capacity
•  Provision of coach indication board
•  Facility of advanced and better waiting room
•  Providing new look with excellent decoration in the interior and exterior of the station building
•  Provision of new platform shelter
•  Facility of toilets and water booths for the convenience of Divyangjan
•  Facility of better signage
•  Provision of advanced and better furniture at the station
•  Provision of foot-over bridge to go from one platform to another
•  Use of eco-friendly solar energy, efficient lighting, provision of rainwater harvesting system

Amrit  Bharat Station Scheme is an important initiative of Indian Railways, which aims to improve the travel experience of millions of passengers by modernizing the infrastructure. Under this scheme, modern passenger amenities have been constructed, such as aesthetically designed station buildings, revitalized platforms, beautiful landscaping, etc. To ensure easy access, the focus has been on widening of roads, removal of unnecessary structures, well-designed signage, dedicated walkways, improved parking facilities and improved lighting.
