Organizing bike rally and health camp on the occasion of completion of 75 years of National Sample Survey

On the occasion of completion of 75 years of National Sample Survey, a bike rally was organized by the officers and employees of National Statistics Office, Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Government of India today for awareness among the general public. This rally was jointly inaugurated by Shri Altaf Hussain Haji, Deputy Director General, National Statistics Office, Raipur and Additional Superintendent of Police (Raipur City), Shri Lakhan Patle. On this occasion, Shri Patle highlighted the contribution and importance of National Sample Survey in nation building and expressed confidence that organizing a bike rally for public awareness would be an important step. Deputy Director General Shri Altaf Hussain Haji said that the surveys conducted by the National Sample Survey  have provided important information in the field of planning and policy making in nation building during last 75 years, which has provided an important basis for the policy makers of the country to make future plans. He motivated all the officers/employees by highlighting the role of National Sample Survey in achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat. The bike rally started from National Statistical Office located at Bhakta Mata Karma Complex, New Rajendra Nagar, Raipur and ended at Katora Talab, Shyam Nagar, Raipur. During this, efforts were made by the officers and employees to create public awareness through various cultural programs and posters, banners and slogans.

In the second phase of the program, a health camp was organized by the National Statistical Office, Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Government of India in collaboration with Suyash Hospital, Kota and ASG Eye Hospital, Shankar Nagar, Raipur on 26.04.2025 in the office premises of National Statistical Office located at Bhakta Mata Karma Complex. This health camp was inaugurated by Shri Altaf Hussain Haji, Deputy Director General, National Statistical Office, Raipur. In this health check-up program, Dr. Sumit Bokade of Suyash Hospital gave health advice to the officers/employees present in the office and highlighted the importance of prevention from various types of lifestyle based diseases. During this, the team of Suyash Hospital (Dr. Ramesh Verma and Shri Harsh Patel, Assistant Manager and other staff) conducted various types of health tests of the officers/employees such as blood sugar, blood pressure, ECG etc. During the camp, the team of ASG Eye Hospital (Shri S.R. Patel, Shri Vikas Yadav,  Ms. Neetu Yadav) conducted eye tests of the officers/employees through refractometer.

Along with Shri Rishabh Singh Shyam, Assistant Director, Bilaspur and Shri R.K. Shrivastava, Senior Statistical Officer and Head of Office, National Statistical Office, Raipur, all the officers and employees of the office actively participated in the program.
