The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Gujarat Licensed Service Area (LSA), today inaugurated Telecom Gallery by Shri Ajatshatru Somani, Additional Director General of Telecommunications. The gallery aims to educate stakeholders about India's transformative telecom initiatives and citizen-centric services.
Designed as a knowledge hub, the Telecom Gallery showcases key policies and services for Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Telecom Service Providers (TSPs), Machine-to-Machine Service Providers (M2MSP), Infrastructure Providers (IP-1), and citizens. The gallery highlights both ease of doing business initiatives and services designed to enhance the telecom experience for all users.

The gallery features six major exhibits, each highlighting a transformative telecom initiative. The Indian Telecom Act 2023 display illustrates how this landmark legislation replaces the 138-year-old Telegraph Act, bringing telecom regulations into the modern era with enhanced security measures.
Sanchar Saathi, another featured initiative, demonstrates tools designed to empower citizens with telecom transparency and fraud prevention capabilities. The PM-WANI (Prime Minister's Wi-Fi Access Network Interface) exhibit showcases efforts to democratize internet access throughout India.
Innovation receives special focus through the 5G Use Case Labs display, which details how these facilities are accelerating development for industries and startups. The National Broadband Mission 2.0 exhibit highlights comprehensive strategies to bridge the digital divide through pan-India connectivity solutions.

Completing the gallery is the Telecom Facilitation Centre exhibit, which explains how regulatory processes are being simplified for businesses and innovators in the telecom sector.
At the inauguration, Shri Ajatshatru Somani emphasized the gallery's role in educating stakeholders about recent developments in India's telecom landscape and highlighted how it would serve as a bridge between policy initiatives and their implementation.
The Telecom Gallery represents DoT Gujarat's commitment to transparent communication with all telecom stakeholders. By providing comprehensive information about initiatives like Sanchar Saathi, which aims to secure telecom resources and create a spam-free environment, the gallery fulfils an important educational role. It is expected to become a valuable resource for anyone seeking to understand India's evolving telecom ecosystem and the opportunities it presents.
